My name is Hunter Ward and this is a blog about the Ward family history, I’ve recently started delving into my family’s history on my fathers side. The Ward family were some of the first white settlers to come to the area from England in 1654 and were guards to the king there before that!
Most of the Wards haven’t strayed far from the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina, even after all these years. I’m taking on a challenge to focus on and study one ancestor a week for the year of 2017 and this blog is all about the tough men and women who came before me.
